ICSDP’s Five Core Programs

Global Sustainability Assessment Program: This program focuses on reinventing the SDGs through comprehensive assessments, with an emphasis on ensuring scientific rigor, political neutrality, and practical applicability. It includes activities such as:
Regular evaluation of the progress of global and regional sustainability.
A review and redesign of existing SDG targets and indicators for clarity and effectiveness.
Development of evidence-based, science-driven alternative frameworks and strategies to address identified gaps.
Integration of cross-disciplinary expertise in developing robust sustainability policies.
Policy Innovation Program: The Policy Innovation & Advocacy Program focuses on driving the adoption of sustainable, scientifically supported policies at national, regional, and global levels. This program includes:
Stakeholder Engagement to engage policymakers, businesses, and civil society in sustainable practices.
Development of policy recommendations based on ICSDP’s independent assessments, designed to guide political
leaders and international bodies.
Advocacy initiatives aimed at promoting the adoption of evidence-driven policies for sustainable development.
Ongoing dialogues through forums, think tanks, and regional consultations that drive collective action.
Sustainable Development Intelligence Program (AKILI): Building on the AKILI Intelligence framework, this program would focus on producing actionable insights and recommendations using data and intelligence for sustainable development decision-making. It includes:
Data Analytics & Research on global sustainability performance, tracking trends and identifying key areas for intervention.
Developing field assessments to gather on-the-ground data from regions implementing sustainable projects.
The AKILI Lecture Series and publications to disseminate research findings and foster dialogue.
Producing annual benchmark reports, i.e. The Sustainable Development Intelligence Report (SDI Report), on global and regional sustainability progress.
Offering Executive Leadership Programs for policy makers and corporate leaders to integrate sustainable practices.
Sustainability Leadership Development Program: Aimed at building leadership in the field of sustainable development, this program would focus on developing human capital and fostering leadership that drives sustainability. Key activities include:
Executive, Leadership Development and Certification Programs designed to prepare the next generation of sustainability
leaders across sectors.
Training and Workshops for policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society on sustainable development principles and practices.
Talent and Capacity Development for national and regional institutions to improve local implementation of SDGs and sustainable policies.
Establishment of partnerships with educational institutions and think tanks to offer specialized training programs.
Global Collaboration & Action Program: This program focuses on enhancing global cooperation and multilateral efforts for sustainability. It would facilitate cross-border collaboration and enable the sharing of best practices and lessons learned. Key components include:
Organizing international summits and conferences to foster collaboration between governments, international organizations, businesses, and civil society.
Development of regional coalitions for sharing knowledge, resources, and innovations that help accelerate SDG implementation.
Cross-sector partnerships between public and private sectors to create sustainable, scalable solutions.
Mobilization of financial resources for SDG implementation through advocacy, partnerships, and targeted funding initiatives.
